Founded in 2000, Students for New Learning (SNL)
is a student organization whose responsibility is to monitor and
facilitate awareness and support for issues related to learning
differences at Davidson College .
SNL recognizes that students with learning differences can be and
are academic, campus, and team leaders. By providing a system of
support through SNL – Student Forum and SNL – Task Force
Education, SNL seeks and empower students to reach their potential
and to become the leaders they can be here at Davidson College .
Statement
from Facuty Advisor:
“Students for New Learning is a positive
collaborative effort by students, faculty, AND staff to address
issues specific to Davidson students with ADD, ADHD and LD. I am
delighted to be associated with this group.”

Statement from Engish
Professor:
“Generally higher education acknowledges that people learn
in different ways, only more recently had pedagogy begun changing,
not only to accommodate such difference, but to celebrate them.
I see SNL as an organization poised to encourage and support such
pedagogic changes at Davidson.”
