DIA International Festival

The International Festival is DIA’s biggest event of the year. It is typically scheduled in late October, as a part of Family Weekend, and takes place in the Davidson Student Union Atrium. Students representing countries from all corners of the world set up booths to share and discuss their countries' traditions, food, culture, and politics. The Festival concludes with performances and a "parade of nations" (flag ceremony) and performances. DIA Multicultural Kids Day

DIA’s largest service event, MKD is very popular in the Davidson and Cornelius community. On a Saturday morning of the Spring semester DIA invites elementary school children from the neighboring area to participate in the event, typically held at the Ada Jenkins center. The children experiece a miniature version of the International Festival and learn facts about various countries presented. See photos.
