The nameless eight adds a new and hopeful dimension to the Davidson rowing program

DAVIDSON, N.C. – With the team competing well last season, the new Davidson 8+, as of now unnamed, will make our team even more competitive, according to Davidson Crew President, Sarah Wing. The team acquired the new boat from Yale, and her beautiful black shell and new foot-stretchers are a nice addition to the team.

This season the new 8+ will be rowed by the novice girls and boys in hopes that it will give the novices more experience in a more competitive and nicer boat, as well as a chance to bond more as a team. Novice rower, Emma Garren said, “Rowing an 8+ is a more social experience than rowing in 4+ boats because all of the team rows together and learns to work together as a team.”
