Artist Series: Thodos Dance Chicago

Critically acclaimed Thodos Dance Chicago comes joins this year's season to perform a varied, highly charged evening of dance created by established American choreographers including Founder and Artistic Director Melissa Thodos. The performance will feature a very special repertory addition, Fosse Trilogy which consists of three works originally choreographed by Bob Fosse in the early ‘60s -Mexican Breakfast, Cool Hand Luke and the Tijuana Shuffle. These works have never been performed on the live stage until now. Bob Fosse is considered one of the greatest American choreographers of the 20th century having won eight Tony Awards, an Oscar and an Emmy. We hope you'll join us to conclude the 09-10 season with the grace, energy, and creativity of Thodos Dance Chicago. Doors open at 7:30 pm. The Union Board Concert Committee is thrilled to announce that this year’s spring concert will feature Akon, with special guests Iyaz and Davidson’s own DJ Fez (Chris Fezza, Class of 2010).
Akon has been nominated for multiple Grammy’s and is the second artist in Billboard’s history to have three consecutive # 1 songs on the rhythmic charts.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, March 15th at 10:00am. We’ve made arrangements for a campus presale FOR DAVIDSON STUDENTS ONLY beginning Thursday, March 11th at 5:00PM (check out the details in the event above). Tickets are $20.00 for Davidson College students and $30.00 for the General Public. All tickets are General Admission and available on the arena floor (standing) or surrounding seats and bleachers. We’ll have an early will call in the Union a few days before the show for Davidson community members only.

Yoga at the Lake

Are you feeling stressed? Is the thought of finals taking over your mind? Don't fret! Union Board has a solution! On Sunday, May 2nd come relax by doing yoga and enjoying Joel's Sushi right as the sun is setting! A FREE one hour Yoga session will begin at 7:30pm and will be taught by two professional yoga instructors. If you would like to participate, you must sign up on the sign up sheet on the Union Board office door (top floor of Union). There are only 50 spots so sign up ASAP as the spots will go quickly! Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to de-stress, enjoy free food, and enjoy beautiful weather at the beautiful Lake Campus! Transportation for participants will leave from Rich Circle at 7:05 pm.
