Introduction
- Welcome to the Philanthropic Society Homepage. The Philanthropic
Society held its first meeting on June 22, 1837. The society began as a
debating organzation but has since evolved into a literary society. We
meet on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. in Philanthropic Hall. Please feel free to
peruse these pages. If you have any questions of comments, please contact
