During the renovation of Duke Residence Hall, students will reside in college-owned houses and townhouses off campus.

These “RLO houses” are located within walking distance of campus and house 4 or 5 students each.

Furnishings and amenities include items similar to what is found in the Martin Court Apartments: single beds, closets or wardrobes, chests of drawers, desks, desk chairs, kitchen table and chairs, some lounge furniture, local cable service, major appliances (refrigerator, oven, stovetop), high speed internet and telephone service. Townhouses offer dishwashers. Laundry facilities are not available in off-campus houses.  A laundry drop-off service will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays from designated areas at the Townhouses and RLO Houses. 

Residents will pay the apartment rate and will participate in Lottery Phase I (for 5-person apartments and houses) on March 15, 2006 or Phase II (for 4-person apartments, houses and townhouses) on March 22, 2006.
