The Order of Omega is an inter/national fraternity, eating-house, and sorority leadership honor society. The organization was founded at the University of Miami in the fall of 1959 by a group of outstanding fraternity men who felt that individuals in the Greek community should be recognized for their service to the fraternity community and the University. There are now over 300 chapters in the United States. Membership in the Order of Omega is a distinction that Greek alumni share worldwide.

Limited to the top three percent of the Davidson College fraternity and eating-house community (approximately 34 students annually), the Omicron Gamma chapter of Order of Omega was founded at Davidson on April 4, 1995. Selections are made each semester by the current undergraduate members.
