The Office of Career Services exists to help students deal successfully with career challenges. While you partner with your sons and daughters to help in their career development, there are also numerous ways in which you can partner with Career Services to help us serve your children.  Parents are a tremendous resource for our office, and we thank you for your involvement.

Here are a few examples of ways you can partner with our office:

Inquire with your employer about posting any full-time position opportunities.  If your employer cannot come to Davidson to recruit on campus, perhaps they would be interested in posting their entry-level positions through our electronic database of opportunities

Identify any short-term opportunities to get experience at your place of employment, including internships, volunteer work, or summer jobs, and post those through our system

Serve as a contact within your occupation with which Davidson students can network to gather more information about career options, or serve as a mentor, or person they can "shadow" on the job

Volunteer to come to campus and provide resume critiques, mock interviews, or information sessions for students regarding your industry or employer
