The Davidson College family will welcome members of the Class of 2001 into its alumni ranks during commencement festivities May 19-20.
R.O.T.C. commissioning of new lieutenants will take place Saturday, May 19, at 1:30 p.m. in Hodson Hall of Cunningham Fine Arts Building.
The Rev. Victor Pentz of Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Ga., father of graduating senior Sarah Pentz, will deliver the Baccalaureate sermon at 4:45 p.m. in Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
Luminaries will decorate the Historic Quadrangle for a candlelight promenade at dusk.
Saturday's activities conclude with a performance by the concert choir at 8:15 p.m. in Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
On Sunday, May 20, the faculty in full academic regalia and the Class of 2001 will begin their procession from Chambers Building at 9:50 a.m. Commencement exercises will begin at 10 a.m. under the oaks on the college's front campus.

|The Class of 2000 files out of Chambers towards Davidson College Presbyterian Church for the Baccalaureate service during Commencement Weekend. Members of the Class of 2001 will retrace their steps on Saturday, May 19.
Davidson is a highly selective independent liberal arts college for 1,600 students.
