Lecture, Beyond Cartesian Dualism: Mapping and Modulating Pain Circuitry with Brain Stimulation presented by Joe Taylor ('06)
Wednesday, April 24, 2013   -   4:30 PM
Location:  Dana Science Classroom-146

Cognitive processes such as attention, mood and expectation can affect pain perception. The circuitry underlying this top-down modulation, however, remains unclear. Come hear a Davidson alumnus and current M.D./Ph.D. student at Medical University of South Carolina discuss how non-invasive brain stimulation can be used to map and modulate pain circuitry.

Public is welcome. Food and beverage are not allowed in the lecture room please. Questions may be directed to Fern Duncan, feduncan@davidson.edu.
