|Lecture, Beyond Cartesian Dualism: Mapping and Modulating Pain Circuitry with Brain Stimulation presented by Joe Taylor ('06) |
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 - 4:30 PM
Location: Dana Science Classroom-146
Cognitive processes such as attention, mood and expectation can affect pain perception. The circuitry underlying this top-down modulation, however, remains unclear. Come hear a Davidson alumnus and current M.D./Ph.D. student at Medical University of South Carolina discuss how non-invasive brain stimulation can be used to map and modulate pain circuitry.
