ResNet Help

ResNet provides help with getting your computer connected to the Davidson network. Contacting us is easy. Just send email to ResNet, ITS from the global address list in Outlook or, from an off-campus email address, send your requests to resnet@davidson.edu.

You can also reach us by voicemail at x2900 (or 704-894-2900 from off campus). Select option 2 for students and then choose the option that relates to your problem or question.  Please note that when we return voicemail, we will respond to your on-campus telephone number and not your cell phone (return calls to cell phones often incur long distance charges).

To help us arrive at a solution faster, please include the following pieces of information: 

  • Your name
  • The operating system loaded on your computer
  • A description of the problem
  • The application you were using (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Outlook 2003, Outlook Web Access, etc.)
  • The exact error message if you received one

The ResNet office is staffed Sunday - Thursday, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM while classes are in session.  For the first week of classes during fall semester, ResNet operates out of the Student Computing Center in Belk. After that, their permanent location is on the 2nd floor of Tomlinson.  Bring your computer to us for drop-in (but not drop-off) assistance.

Clean Access
Clean Access performs user validation (are you a Davidson person?) and computer validation (does this computer meet the minimums to use our network?) on connections to the public network.
