Federal Requirement 4.8 - Compliance with Title IV

The institution is in compliance with its program responsibilities under Title IV of the 1998 Higher Education Amendments. (In reviewing the institution's compliance with these program responsibilities, the Commission relies on documentation forwarded to it by the Secretary of Education.)

Judgment of Compliance

Davidson College is in compliance with Federal Requirement 4.8.

Rationale for Judgment of Compliance

Davidson College is in compliance with its program responsibilities under Title IV of the 1998 Higher Education Act. The College’s Program Participation Agreement is current, thus authorizing Davidson to participate in Title IV financial aid programs. Davidson meets all audit and review standards for administration of student aid under Title IV in accordance with the agreement and federal regulations. Davidson undergoes an annual audit that includes financial aid administered by the College and that finds Davidson in compliance. Davidson College meets all reporting requirements of the U.S. Department of Education. Federal Pell Grant activity is reported online through the Common Origination and Disbursement system. The Federal Perkins Loan Program is reported monthly through the National Student Loan Data System. The Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP) is filed annually with the U. S. Department of Education. Davidson College adheres to all federal regulations as set forth under the Title IV Student Aid Programs regulations. Student eligibility is verified according to federal and state verification regulations, adjusted each year as necessary.
