Comprehensive Standard 3.2.7 - Organizational structure for policy administration

The institution has a clearly defined and published organizational structure that delineates responsibility for the administration of policies.

Judgment of Compliance

Davidson College is in compliance with Comprehensive Standard 3.2.7.

Rationale for Judgment of Compliance

Davidson College’s organizational structure is clearly defined in its organizational chart which, as per the Davidson College Constitution Article I.5, must be maintained by the President and available for inspection:

The President shall maintain at all times in a College Registry a general table of administrative organization containing a summary description of duties of the individual offices of College administration. The College Registry shall be available for inspection by any Faculty member, Administrative Officer, Employee or Student of the College in the offices of the administration during regular business hours.

The organizational chart is also published each year in the College’s Fact File which is distributed both electronically and in hardcopy.

Detailed position descriptions are maintained by the Human Resources Office and available in hardcopy in its office and electronically in a publicly shared network folder.
