Acclaimed playwright Len Jenkin explores the inexplicable mysteries which pervade all of our lives in this spook-house ride of a play. Dark Ride follows ten interconnected characters as they search for meaning in the seemingly random objects and events which cause them to collide with each other. The journeys of a translator with a prophetic ancient text, a thief possessing a cursed jewel, and a carnival barker trying to unload the mummified corpse of John Wilkes Booth intersect in curious ways. What mysterious force has brought them together? Or is it all just coincidence?

“Few playwrights have Jenkin’s skill at theatrical sleight-of-hand… it supplies an ingenuity which cannot fail to stimulate both the theatre and the theatregoer.” –NY Daily News

“The trip itself, like a spooky show in a carnival tunnel, is full of bright, surprising images, scary and funny.” -The Village Voice
