SUBMISSION POLICY

PRIMA, Perspectives on International and Multicultural Affairs, is a bi-annual student run electronic international affairs journal. The goal of the journal is to provide a forum for intellectual exchange on international and multicultural issues at Davidson.

PRIMA accepts submissions from all Davidson students, faculty, staff, and alumni on any internationally related subject from a range of disciplines. They can be dropped in the PRIMA submissions box outside Chambers B-19, hard copy and disk. Alternatively, submissions can be e-mailed as a Word document attachment to Irene Middleton.

All submissions should be single-spaced in 10- or 12-point Times New Roman font with standard margins, and should not exceed 15 pages. The author's name must appear on the upper right hand corner of the paper. However, anonymous review will be strictly enforced. The student editorial board will evaluate papers according to certain criteria: scholarship, content, style, breadth of analysis, and range of topics. The student board will select five to ten submissions for publication on the journal's website.

The faculty advisory board, comprised of nine professors from different disciplines, serves as an important resource in the decision-making process. Before publication, the student editorial board submits its selections to the faculty advisory board for a final review and formal acceptance.

PRIMA reserves the right to make grammatical or stylistic changes to the papers. If substantive changes would be required for publication, PRIMA will ask the author to revise his or her work.

The views expressed in the journal do not necessarily reflect those held by the student editors, faculty advisors, or the Dean Rusk Program.
