Letter from the Editors

Volume 2, Issue 2 & Volume 3, Issue 1

From the Editors:

Though a “special double issue” because of technical problems, the latest edition of Perspectives on International and Multicultural Affairs (PRIMA) lacks nothing except its punctuality.

Covering the current and last semester, this issue of PRIMA presents the usual timely, engaging, and high quality papers expected of this publication and of Davidson’s community of scholars. The issues examined range from a sociological study of Sri Lanka to a look at the geopolitical implications of the European Defense Initiative to, among others, the democratic transition of Bangladesh. The authors are alumni, current students, and members of the faculty, they encompass many varies academic disciplines, and each brings a distinct style and point of view to issues of multicultural and international importance facing the world today.

PRIMA’s most recent endeavor to provide this campus with a forum in which to present and discuss pressing global issues in a scholarly manner stays the course regarding quality of work and ideas, and will hopefully be indicative of PRIMA’s future as a stronger, more widely read and discussed student publication.

A fine board of editors and publicists awaits this semester’s “collection season,” so that work may begin as soon as possible on the next issue: which will be out on schedule and in the fall.

Co-Editors in Chief- Travis Lee and Sean Brooks
