ACTIVITIES
Additional Activities and Extracurricular Opportunities for Students
The
Medical Humanities Program brings noted speakers to campus, administers
a Healthcare-Professionals-in-Residence Program, cooperates closely
with the Premedical Program, and organizes conferences to promote
public discussion of humanistic issues in health care. Davidson's
Medical Humanities Program also works cooperatively with the Bioethics
Resources Group, Ltd., Charlotte Area Health Education Center,
and the Mecklenburg Medical Society to make information related
to healthcare and ethics readily available to the public on the
world-wide-web. Each of these activities offers students opportunities
to gain valuable experience working cooperatively with groups
outside the college.
